Great Ideas For Teaching Speech are proven exercises or techniques. Put simply, G.I.F.T.S. are very abbreviated classroom tips/ideas that a colleague might use in her or his course (e.g., public speaking, interpersonal, small group, organizational, persuasion, mass, theory, research methods, etc.).
A variety of teaching ideas will be presented in several interactive 5-10 minute sessions. Presenters will share their great ideas at tables with a small audience and rotate to different tables so that all participants receive the entire program during the session.
If we have sufficient response, there will be a special G.I.F.T.S. session on Friday afternoon from 3:00 - 4:15 p.m. All G.I.F.T.S will be compiled and will be made available to KCA members through an online activity database.
Everyone who submits a Great Idea for Teaching Speech will receive a beautiful commemorative 75th Anniversary KCA keepsake.
