Editorial Policy

The Kentucky Journal of Communication is committed to publishing high quality scholarship that focuses centrally on communication, mass media, and manuscripts published in the journal represent the diversity of scholarship that comprises communication. This journal is not restricted theoretical or methodological perspectives. The KJC follows a policy of blind peer review and welcomes submissions regardless of their type, orientation or geographical origin. The editor reserves the right to return without benefit of review manuscripts that are outside the mission of the journal, are deeply flawed, or do not conform to the guidelines of the KJC. An electronic cover letter must accompany each submitted manuscript that assures the editor that the manuscript is original, verified, unpublished, and not under editorial review for other journals or has appeared in any other published form. To insure blind review, no author-identifying information should be included in the text or references. Author identifying information should appear on a separate title page. Author should keep original, as copies will not be returned. The Kentucky Journal of Communication will not publish any material for which the assignment of copyright is withheld. Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all material submitted, including charts, graphs, references and quotations, etc. All manuscripts accepted for publication will be edited to the latest APA style manual and space limitations. The views expressed herein are those of the authors and not necessarily those of the editor, the board, the Kentucky Communication Association, or its officers.
